Roof Terrace Archway
Bringing indoor outdoor, Archway
The client wanted an outdoor room that would link-in seamlessly with the interior of the flat.
Two built-in benches running in parallel and topped by a slatted trellis provide a cosy dining area for six as well as much-needed storage. The electric blue walls match the colour used for one of the living room feature walls, nicely linking the two rooms together.
Painting the brick wall in front of the living room maximizes the feeling of light reaching the flat while black glazed containers planted with bamboos provide a lively screening from nosy neighbours.
The big pittosporum by the barbecue helps screen the tall grey building while a piece of artwork chosen by the client complements the indoor feel of this outdoor room.
The result is a functional, jolly and cosy space that links in perfectly with the interior of the flat.
