The existing space had to be re-designed to become a lower-maintenance productive garden and a home for the clients ecclectic collection of objects (from a golden statue to a victorian loo). Another important part of the brief was to ensure that the space could be accessed with a wheelchair, making it future proof.

A succession of sinuous raised beds filled with mixed planting of ornamental plants and edible ones enables the owner to attend to the vegetables and fruit without putting too much strain on her knees, while ensuring balanced looking borders all-year-round. A wide and softly sliding path running along the right-hand-side edge of the garden links the various areas of the garden together, ensuring ease of use of the space by a wheelchair.
